Teams App Finally Available Through Microsoft Store

Microsoft Teams will soon be available for easy download through the Microsoft Store that comes with Windows, according to an update from the company.

It beggars belief that, up until now, in order to download Teams to your Windows PCs you had to download it from the Microsoft website, or install it with the complete Office 365 package.

Teams will be available next month through Microsoft Store for both Windows 10 and 11 users.

The 10 version will be usable with personal, work, or school accounts, while the 11 version is work or school only – most likely due to a personal version of Teams coming baked into Windows 11.

Microsoft updated its app store last June, with a brand new refresh, the ability to download Android apps for Windows PCs, and the new Microsoft Store branding, not Windows Store, which it had been called since 2017.

At the time, Microsoft said Teams would be available through the store, however this never eventuated.
