![]() LG’s 34″ IPS Curved UltraWide Monitor with quad HD resolution display (3440 x 1440) is suited for professional use including digital photographers and home entertainment lovers.
The super bright monitor delivers an “immersive” experience with wide 178 degrees viewing angles.
LG’s new Digital Cinema 4K Monitor and Gaming Monitors will also see the light of day at IFA next month, the giant has confirmed.
The 4K Monitor squeezes 4096 x 2160 pixels into a 31-inch screen, four times the resolution of Full HD, and is good for editing video content. It employs an IPS 4K display with a wide viewing angle, MAXX AUDIO and 7W stereo speaker system.
The 4K Monitor is compatible with PCs and Macs, and supports Thunderbolt 2 for high-speed data transfers and multiple devices to be daisy chained together.
Also at IFA, we expect to see Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Gear VR headset as well as Sony Xperia Z3.
LG also has its eye on gaming, and will launch a new Gaming Monitor in Berlin designed to handle the frantic action of the latest first person shooters – with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
It also has Dynamic Action Sync Mode, which drastically cuts input lag, enabling players to respond faster; Black Stabilizer for consistent blacks across scenes; and Game Mode which offers three settings that can be applied by pressing a hotkey on the monitor.
Availability of products shown at IFA are yet to be determined for Australia, however.
“We’re particularly proud to be introducing at IFA the world’s first 21:9 Curved UltraWide monitor with a curved IPS display which delivers a wide 178-degree viewing angle for an immersive viewing experience,” said Hyoung-sei Park, head of IT Business Division at LG Home Entertainment.
“Many people spend more time in front of computer monitors than they do in front of TV sets and yet the industry’s biggest monitor manufacturers don’t seem to innovate at the same pace as TV manufacturers.”
LG’s next generation advanced PC monitors will be on display at IFA 2014 in Hall 11.2 of Messe Berlin from September 5-10.
