TCL Unveils 57-Inch Ultra-Wide Dual 4K Curved Monitor with QD-Mini LED Technology

TCL has officially launched the 57R94, a massive 57-inch ultra-wide monitor that features dual 4K resolution, QD-Mini LED backlighting, and an immersive 1000R curvature. The display is now available in France, with global rollout—including Australia—expected in the coming months.

Sporting a 32:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 7680Ă—2160, the 57R94 effectively combines two 4K monitors into one expansive panel. TCL has employed its Fast HVA panel technology to deliver a refresh rate of 120Hz and a rapid 1ms response time, aimed at both productivity and gaming audiences.

A standout feature of the new display is TCL’s QD-Mini LED backlighting system, which offers 2,304 local dimming zones. This setup enables deep contrast levels and high-dynamic-range performance, with peak brightness reaching 1200 nits. The monitor also meets the stringent DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

Color performance is equally robust, boasting 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and 99% of sRGB, with color accuracy rated at Delta E < 1. It also features Pantone validation and supports 10-bit color through 8-bit + FRC technology.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the 57R94 includes an adjustable stand with tilt (-5° to +20°), swivel (-30° to +30°), and height adjustments up to 110mm. VESA 100×100 mounting is supported, and the total unit weighs 18.3kg with the stand.

Connectivity options are extensive: two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 90W charging, four USB-A 3.0 ports, and one USB-B port. The monitor supports KVM switching, Picture-in-Picture, and Picture-by-Picture modes. Built-in 10W dual speakers round out its audio capabilities.

TCL is marketing the 57R94 as a versatile solution for creative professionals and gamers alike. Gaming-specific features include FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility, custom crosshairs, a real-time FPS counter, dark field control, and Rheinland-certified low blue light filtering.

The launch follows other recent entries in the gaming monitor market. AOC has introduced a 250Hz curved ultrawide model while Philips has announced a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor offering a striking 500Hz refresh rate.
