DIY security vendor Swann has released a 4K ultra HD CCTV surveillance system for homes and businesses for the Australian market.
The wired multi-camera video systems are fitted with Swann’s True Detect technology, where the cameras sense heat from moving objects such as people on cars, then send notifications to the user and recording footage to a local hard drive.
The system is the first of its type to include Google Assistant voice control, enabling users to see the surveillance camera videos on their TVs by using select voice commands, the company said.
Swann claims that, with 4K ultra image quality, users can easily see licence plates, faces, clothing, logos, tattoos, and labels.
It also includes zoom for live streaming or playing back recorded footage from the cameras.
Commenting on the launch, Swann Vice President of Global Marketing Jeremy Stewart said, “With the Ultra HD 4K Series of DVRs, we are catering to both the professional market and the home with the opportunity to stay connected like never before. It’s a powerful combination in the fight against crime.”
