Sony’s Playstation Network Suffers Outage

On the eve of the company’s official unveiling of the Playstation 4 Slim and Neo (in addition to the impending launch of Playstation VR), Sony’s Playstation Network has experienced another outage.

Gamers in both the US and Australia have reported an inability to access the PSN, with many turning to social media to express their ire.

It’s the second time this week that Sony’s online network has gone offline and one of many such incidents since the company announced plans to raise the price associated with the service.

As of this article, Sony’s network status page lists both Account Management and Gaming and Social servers as offline.

An accompanying statement by the company reads “You may have some difficulty signing in or creating an account on PlayStation™Network. Our engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, and we thank you for your patience.”
