Sony Puts WH-1000XM6 Drivers In New Inzone H9 II Gaming Headset
Sony is lifting the bar for gaming audio with its new Inzone H9 II headphones.
The follow-up to the original H9 borrows the same drivers found in Sony’s flagship WH-1000XM6, promising higher-end sound in a headset pitched at gamers.
The new model is lighter (320g) and adds support for virtual 7.1 surround sound and Sony 360 Reality Audio.
Active noise cancellation and a transparency mode are included, while connectivity spans Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless via a USB-C dongle or a wired AUX cable.
Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours and the headset is compatible with Nintendo’s next Switch console, Xbox Series X, PCs and smartphones.

You can have any colour you want, as long as its black or white
Sony has specifically targeted the esports community, partnering with Fnatic to create sound profiles perfect for titles such as Valorant and Apex Legends.
The H9 II costs less than the flagship WH-1000XM6 but boasts much of its key hardware.
Historically, gaming headsets have focused on booming bass and flashy styling, but this one is aimed at discerning audiophiles.
Sony is now merging its ‘premium headphones’ pedigree with its Inzone gamer sub-brand, which it launched three years ago.
That’s a move that could force competitors to rethink how they’ll design and market their future headsets.
