Italian luxury audio brand Sonus faber has revived one of its best-known speaker families, launching the third-generation Olympica G3 range with technology borrowed from its flagship Suprema system.

The new Olympica G3 line-up includes five models: the Olympica I bookshelf speaker, Olympica III and Olympica V floorstanders, Olympica Center and Olympica Wall, giving buyers options for both high-end stereo and premium home theatre installations.

US pricing starts at US$8,000 for the Olympica Wall and rises to US$30,000 for the flagship Olympica V floorstanders, putting the range roughly between A$12,000 and A$46,000 before local taxes, freight and retailer margins. Australian pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed.

Sonus faber says the Olympica G3 range carries over the collection’s asymmetrical lute-shaped cabinet design, while adding a new 45-degree herringbone wood veneer inspired by the company’s Stradivari loudspeaker.

The bigger story is inside the cabinet. The new speakers use technology derived from Sonus faber’s ultra-premium Suprema system, including the Camelia midrange driver and the company’s Organic Basket chassis, which is designed to improve airflow and mechanical stability.

The Olympica III and Olympica V floorstanders also add cork-lined mid-high chambers, which Sonus faber says help reduce internal resonance and improve clarity.

The flagship Olympica V is a three-way floorstander with a 28mm DAD Arrow Point silk-dome tweeter, a 6.5-inch Camelia midrange driver and three 6.5-inch woofers. It has a claimed frequency response down to 37Hz.

The smaller Olympica III uses two 6.5-inch woofers, while the Olympica I is a two-way standmount model aimed at smaller rooms.

The Olympica Center and Olympica Wall are designed for home cinema setups, giving Sonus faber a complete luxury speaker range rather than just a two-channel upgrade.

All models will be available in walnut or wenge finishes.
