Smart Homes Leads To Better Smartphone Experience, Says Research
New research by JD Power has suggested that the more smart home devices a consumer owns, the better their smart phone experience will be.
In the firm’s 2017 US Full-Service Smartphone Satisfaction Study, JD Power found that Apple users were the most satisfied – edging out Samsung by a single point.
More interestingly though, the survey also found that the overall satisfaction of those surveyed with their everyday smartphone experience tended to be higher the more smart home appliances or devices they used.
According to Kirk Parsons, senior director and technology, media and telecom practice leader at J.D. Power, these consumers were more satisfied because they can take advantage of functionalities others simply aren’t aware of.
Parsons says that “smartphone manufacturers that make it easier for their products to connect with other devices will have a major advantage in improving customer satisfaction as homes become smarter and more automated.”
