Second Xiaomi 108MP Smartphone Camera For Oz

Following the announcement of the Mi CC9 Pro Premium smartphone, Xiaomi has unveiled the second phone to score Samsung’s 108MP Camera Sensor, but this time it’s coming to Australia.

Available for pre-order now, the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 will ship to customers in the first week of Australia from the Mi Store, eBay and Amazon for $888 with the Pro model priced at $999.

The first 100 purchases will also receive a free Mi Band 4, available in three different colour choices including Aurora Green, Glacier White, and Midnight Black.

The Mi Note Series represents the next edition of its flagship smartphone lineup hosting the world’s first Penta Camera system with its Samsung developed 108MP camera sensor.

In addition to the primary camera, the Mi Note 10 comes with two telephoto lenses, 5MP and 12MP, as well as a 20MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and 2MP macro sensor.

On the front, you’ll find a 32MP selfie camera inside the dewdrop notch.

As reported by ChannelNews, this marks the second smartphone to receive the Samsung developed 108MP camera sensor.

To achieve this Samsung research and development team have created a sensor that ‘permits multiple exposures in a single shot, resulting in greater detail for both bright and dark areas’.

Stepping away from the stylisation of Google and Apple, Xiaomi has stacked the five cameras vertically on the rear of the Mi Note 10, with the main three in its own cluster.

Unfortunately, Xiaomi hasn’t been able to get rid of the dreaded camera bump either, or the notch…

The Mi Note 10 boasts a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, with an aluminium alloy body that features dual-curved edges for a comfortable grip.

Underneath the screen will be a fingerprint sensor that promises unlocks in bright light, with dry fingers and low temperatures.

Powering the phone is a 5,260mAh High-capacity Battery with 30W Fast Charge support through the USB-C port.

Inside the Mi Note 10 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G which brings Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and an additional 15% graphics boost over Snapdragon 730.

The Mi Note 10 can be configured in either 6Gb of RAM with 128Gb of storage, or the pro version with 8GB of RAM and 25GB of storage.
