German Giant Blaupunkt Invades OZ

German giant Blaupunkt is hitting Oz with LCD and home audio systems next month.

The blue dot brand known throughout Europe as reliable and affordable, Blaupunkt, meaning ‘blue dot’ in German, is well known for car stereo systems, but is unleashing snazzy looking audio systems that have digital radio, Apple docking, Airplay and Bluetooth in Oz.

Blaupunkt LCD TVs will range from 24″ -39″ sets and are aiming to be the TV of choice for the second or third room, and compete against mid-tier brands as opposed to big names like LG and Samsung, a spokesperson told SmartHouse.

Bush Australia, distributors of the blue dot brand, played an instrumental role in product development of the audio devices, designed in London specifically for the Aussie market.

“Blaupunkt products have an enviable reputation for truly superb audio, dating back to the brand’s first headphones in 1923 through to the sound systems found in many luxury vehicles today,” said Bush Australia managing director, Daniel Todd,

“While audio quality has been secondary to mobility in recent years, Blaupunkt aims to address the imbalance. The blue dot means consumers can now enjoy the benefits of innovation in both mobility and audio quality when listening to music around the home.”
