Reolink Packs AI and 4K Vision Into New Wi Fi Floodlight Camera
Chinese security camera Company Reolink have moved to stake a share of the fast growing floodlight security camera market with the roll out of a new AI-powered 4K 8MP dual-lens system.
Selling for $299 the device which is available via Amazon is using intelligent visual technology to identify risks, user can then quickly extract video using a simple descriptive phase.
The Reolink Elite Floodlight WiFi, camera is the first to feature local AI Video SearchBeta, which when combined with an ultra-wide field of view and advanced lighting allows users to get access to information without the need for subscription fees.
Local management claim that they have developed the camera after identifying that typical pain points with security cameras such as include critical moments getting buried in hours of footage, key events occurring in blind spots, and suspicious activity often drawing no attention – when in fact an immediate response is needed especially at night.

The combination of intelligent features such as AI Video Search, an expansive 180° field of view, and adaptive lighting up to 3000 lumens, the Elite Floodlight has been designed from the ground up by security and AI specialists who are now able to take advantage of new chip technology in the development of new products.
The Companies new advanced search capability is powered by ReoNeura which is Reolink’ s smart AI system that is built into the device. It also eliminates the need for a direct link to external servers based overseas that in the past have been used to process data.
Also built in is advanced dual image stitching technology that can create a seamless 180° 4K panoramic view.
The Elite Floodlight lights deliver 3000 lumens of brightness; users also have the option of a warm 3000K glow for ambiance or a crisp 6000K cool light for enhanced visibility and colour accuracy.
Users can also choose from three smart lighting modes Dusk-to-Dawn for ambient light-based automation, and Motion-Triggered to activate lights, along with the siren (up to 105dB), if enabled, when people, vehicles, or animals are detected.
