RedMagic has pitched its new 11S Pro gaming smartphone as a high-performance alternative to mainstream flagships from Samsung and Apple.

The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version chip, paired with RedMagic’s RedCore R4 gaming processor.

It also features a 6.85-inch BOE AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, shoulder triggers, Android 16-based RedMagic OS 11.5 and Google Gemini integration.

The standout feature is RedMagic’s AquaCore Cooling System, which combines a 24,000RPM internal fan, a large vapour chamber and flowing fluorinated liquid cooling visible through the rear casing.

Battery capacity is also a major selling point, with a 7,500mAh cell and 80W wired charging. Some reports also list 80W wireless charging on global models.

So far reviewers have praised the phone’s raw performance but noted clear trade-offs.

Android Authority found it was among the fastest Snapdragon phones tested but said benchmark temperatures reached an uncomfortable 59°C. Trusted Reviews called performance “immense” and the screen bright and responsive, while criticising the camera system.

The RedMagic 11S Pro goes on sale globally from June 10, with early bird offers beginning June 3.

Pricing starts from US$849, although the model is not yet available in Australia.
