Razer has had their eye on the smartphone market for a few years. The company bought out Ouya 2015 and acquired the gaming hardware company, Nextbit, early this year.
Bloomberg’s report states the company is working on “a mobile device tailored for its consumer base of hardcore gamers”.
It fuels previous rumours which revealed Razer has been looking to enter the smartphone market.
The news follows earlier reports that Razer is soon to launch an IPO, with listing expected sometime in October. The company is said to be seeking a valuation of $3 billion – $5 billion.
