Plantronics Inc Appoint New APAC Consumer Director
New York Stock Exchange listed audio equipment manufacturer, Plantronics Inc, has today promoted Peter Petrides as its new Asia Pacific Consumer Director.
The news comes after Plantronics re-branded to ‘Poly’ last year, in a bid to commandeer the global unified communications and collaboration market.
Plantronics was one of first Bluetooth headset manufacturers, with its current portfolio encompassing desk phones, audio and video conferencing products, plus a suite of analytics and communications services.
Mr Petrides has been with Plantronics since 2007, and boasts over twenty years experience in FMCG, consumer electronics and IT across the Asia Pacific.
Petrides was most recently the Director of Sales for APAC and Director of Consumer in ANZ, responsible for Plantronics’ international sales plan across consumer/prosumer and gaming product divisions.
“To bring the success Plantronics has experienced in Australia to the rest of the Asia Pacific region is a privilege and I look forward to working strategically with each market under the Asia Pacific banner,” he asserts.
“Our current portfolio has gone from strength to strength”
“In particular, our RIG Gaming headsets have taken home trophies for the MCV 2017 and 2018 Awards for Audio Accessories Brand of the Year and 2018 Best Audio Brand of the Year at the Australian Games Award.”
Based in Australia, Mr Petrides will oversee Poly’s consumer business across the region, including implementing its Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and sales coverage to both consumers and partners.
He will be tasked with growing Poly across the Asia Pacific, whilst expanding its stereo and gaming brand presence.
“Peter has extensive experience and vision that will drive the growth of Poly’s consumer business in the region,” affirms Head of Global Consumer Sales, Laurie Dennis.
“Through Petrides passion and leadership, we look forward to driving and mirroring the successes across APAC.”
