A research study by ChannelNews reveals that hundreds of CE and appliance industry executives are heading to IFA in Berlin in September, one of the first big industry trade shows since COVID restrictions were lifted.
The consumer electronics and appliance show that brings together retailers from across the globe, is back in-person for the first time since the pandemic began in 2020.
Many of the industry executives that ChannelNews surveyed said that they “Could not wait for the show”.
Several of these Australian executives were booked for CES in Las Vegas, but cancelled as new lockdowns due to COVID outbreaks were put in place.
IFA is set to take place on September 2-6, 2022.

The event will be hosted by German trade fair company Messe Berlin.
The IFA’s press release claims “IFA isn’t just one of the largest CE and home appliances trade shows. It’s also an innovation epicentre that draws the best, the brightest, and the most exciting new technology, year in and year out… We can’t wait to see what this year’s event has in store for the channel.”

The industry has a strong desire to return to an in-person event, and we are committed to making that a reality in Berlin this September in a safe and successful manner.”
