OPPO has begun rolling out its major ColorOS 15 update globally, introducing new AI features, performance enhancements, and photography tools across its smartphone lineup.

The update, which began in China earlier this month, will be available on supported models – including the OPPO Find X8 Pro, Find N3 series, and Reno13, 12, and 11 lines – by 31 July.

At the centre of ColorOS 15 is a suite of AI-powered tools designed to boost creativity and productivity.

Photo editing sees major upgrades, with AI Clarity Enhancer transforming low-resolution or cropped images into ultra-clear, high-definition photos.

AI Reflection Remover eliminates window glare in shots, while AI Eraser allows users to remove photobombers and unwanted objects with a simple tap or circle.

The update also introduces AI Perfect Shot, which can open closed eyes in group photos and enhance facial features, and AI Unblur, which restores motion-blurred images.

A new AI Recompose feature intelligently adjusts image layouts and colours, while AI Group Photo Composer lets users add missing people into group shots.

Productivity is also getting a major lift. The updated AI Toolbox can now summarise web pages, rewrite content, and assist with emails or social media posts, all accessible from a swipe-out sidebar.

The Notes app gains AI features to polish, expand, or condense memos with a tap. A revamped Recorder app automatically categorises in-person recordings and creates meeting summaries.

Under the hood, OPPO’s Trinity Engine and Luminous Rendering Engine deliver up to 22% smoother system performance and extended battery life.

HyperBoost ensures stable frame rates during intensive gaming, while Holo Audio offers spatial sound with up to 12 simultaneous audio streams.

The interface has also received a visual refresh, including widget stacking, new fonts, and dynamic motion effects.

Privacy features have been expanded with Auto Pixelate for screenshots, Strongbox hardware-level security, and Theft Protection that kicks in before and after a device is stolen.

OPPO says rollout will finish by the end of July, with further updates continuing through 2025 depending on region and device.
