Oppo Find X9 Ultra Tipped to Share Camera with Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Oppo is preparing to roll out its next-generation flagship smartphones, with the Find X9 series set to debut in October and teasers kicking off as early as September.
The confirmation came from Oppo Find series product manager Zhou Yibao, who revealed that he is currently testing two unreleased devices – likely the Find X9 and X9 Pro.
Yibao added that teaser campaigns will begin once he returns to China later this month, lining up with earlier leaks from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station.
The Find X9 Ultra is being positioned as one of 2026’s most advanced camera phones.
Leaks suggest the Find X9 Ultra could use the same Sony 200MP main camera sensor as Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra, setting up a high-stakes showdown in 2026.
The Oppo Find X9 and X9 Pro are expected to be powered by MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500 chipset, which will launch on September 22.
Vivo is tipped to claim the title of first device with the new chip via its X300 series, but Oppo’s flagships should follow closely in October.
Rumours also suggest the Find X9 will gain a sizeable battery upgrade – potentially up to 7,000mAh – while retaining premium features such as wireless charging and Oppo’s advanced ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

However, the real spotlight is on the Find X9 Ultra, which Yibao has confirmed will not arrive until Q2 2026.
Unlike its siblings, the Ultra is expected to ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and showcase major camera innovations.
Multiple leaks point to a dual 200-megapixel Hasselblad camera system, including what could be Sony’s first 1/1.1-inch 200MP sensor, paired with a telephoto lens of equal resolution.
This would replace Oppo’s current 1-inch sensor approach while introducing a new multispectral colour sensor for improved accuracy.
If accurate, Oppo’s strategy would align with broader shifts across the industry as rivals Vivo and Xiaomi also move away from oversized main sensors in favour of higher-resolution alternatives.
For Australian consumers, availability remains uncertain. Previous Ultra models were limited to China, but Oppo’s growing global ambitions may see the device land locally next year.
