Nothing’s Budget CMF Headphone Pro Launches With 100-Hour Battery And ‘Energy Slider’
Nothing’s budget-focused sub-brand CMF has unveiled the Headphone Pro, its first over-ear wireless headphones, bringing premium-style features to the entry-level market at just A$179.
CMF has opted for tactile controls instead of touch surfaces, with a multi-function roller handling volume, playback and noise control, while an “Energy Slider” lets listeners adjust bass and treble instantly without needing an app.
There’s also a customisable Action Button, which can be programmed to launch Spatial Audio modes or summon an AI assistant.
Battery life is the headline grabber, with up to 100 hours with ANC off, or 50 hours with adaptive ANC enabled.

This easily outpaces many rivals, including Sony’s WH-1000XM6, which max out at 40 hours.
Quick charging is equally impressive – just five minutes adds four hours of playback, with a full charge taking two hours. The headphones can even be topped up directly from compatible smartphones over USB-C.
Available in dark grey, light grey grey and light green, the Headphone Pro also offers swappable ear cushions in colours like orange and green.
Under the hood, the Headphone Pro packs 40mm dynamic drivers, support for LDAC hi-res streaming, Bluetooth multipoint pairing, and a 3.5mm audio jack for wired listening.

CMF claims the headphones deliver rich, detailed sound and even include a Personal Sound profile feature that tunes audio to your individual hearing via the Nothing X app.
For calls, the Headphone Pro uses three HD microphones with environmental noise cancellation, designed to keep voices clear in noisy settings.
At $179, the CMF Headphone Pro comes in at a third of the price of Nothing’s flagship Headphone (1) yet offers a range of premium features.
With its combination of design, battery life and affordability, CMF may have just set a new benchmark in the budget over-ear category.
