MS Hangs Up Its Paint Brush

If you have tears, Microsoft Paint lovers, prepare to shed them now, along with your digital brushes. Microsoft has announced that, after 32 years, it is pulling all support for the Microsoft Paint, “image-creation program”.

Channel News notes that, “though it could hardly compete against the likes of Adobe Photoshop”, Microsoft’s Paint “has managed to endure through countless operating systems since its introduction in 1985.”

But all is not lost. Microsoft is reportedly working on something called Paint 3D, which is said to offer more advanced image creation options.
