NBN Marks One Million Milestone

NBN Marks One Million MilestoneAccording to figures released today by Minister for Communications Malcolm Turnbull, 1,011,973 premises in total are now able to order the NBN.

These figures comprise 571,517 fixed-line brownfields services, 180,796 fixed-line greenfields services, 220,917 fixed wireless and 38,743 interim satellite services.

Over the past 18 months, the number of unserviceable premises in neighbourhoods where the fixed-line service has been rolled out has dropped from 31 per cent of premises passed to less than 10 per cent.

The most recent NBN quarterly results, released last month, revealed premises with an active NBN connection stood at 389,000, with approximately 12,300 premises being made serviceable every week.

NBN CEO Bill Morrow stated upon release of the results that the NBN is on the path to reach its full-year target of around 480,000 activations.
