LG, Meridian Team Up For New Portable Speakers

LG has once again partnered with Meridian Audio for its new XBOOM Go portable speaker range.

The Go PL series, comprising the PL2, PL5, and PL7 models, all feature Meridian Audio sound technology, IPX5 splash resistance, and Google Assistant and Siri connectivity.

Additionally, the PL5 and PL7 can connect with other speakers of the same model or with 2020 LG TVs for Bluetooth surround sound, feature dual-action bass and multi-coloured lighting, and – along with the PL2 – can be controlled through the LG XBOOM Bluetooth app.

According to Tony Brown, Marketing Manager for Home Entertainment at LG Electronics Australia, the company is looking to provide entertainment both inside and outside the home.

“Whether it’s a backyard BBQ, visit to the beach or park picnic, this summer Australians can experience a premium listening experience with the XBOOM Go portable speaker range both at home and on-the-go.

“Through our continued partnership with Meridian Audio, we’re pleased to offer Australians high-quality audio in a multi-functional range of speakers,” he said.

The PL2, with 10 hours of battery life, retails for $89; the PL5 offers 18 hours of battery life for $179; and the PL7 offers 24 hours battery life for $259.
