LG Aims At Students With New Chromebook

LG has launched a new Chromebook aimed at the education market, which the company says will increase fivefold in the next three years, as distance education continues to accelerate.

LG’s entry into this space comes with an 11-inch touchscreen, and can be bent backwards for use as a tablet. It weighs just 1.44kgs, and will retail at approximately A$769, although with taxes, that price is likely to hover closer to $800.

As the title suggests, the laptops will use the Chrome operating system with data stored mostly on Google’s cloud.

They feature front and rear cameras, a microphone, and are very much built for students, with bare bones functionality.
