Hello Asus: Slider rears its full specs.

Asus has just unveiled the closely guarded specs of its soon-to-be released Eee Pad Slider tablet on Honeycomb 3.1.

The much anticipated device will sport the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 1.0GHz dual-core CPU under the hatch, Adobe Flash support, USB, mini HDMI, MicroSD Card Reader, Bluetooth, dual cameras (1.2 MP front, 5 MP rear) and one year unlimited ASUS WebStorage.

Eee Pad Slider browses the web and plays HD video with “blazing speeds,” say its maker.

And, as its name suggests, the tab features a unique slide out QWERTY keyboard which can be neatly folded away as desired.
“Easily change your Eee Pad Slider from a tablet to a notebook with just one slide,” Asus teases on the new product web page just published.

The 10.1″ LED backlight WXGA HD display has impressive 1280×800 res, 10 finger multi-touch support and boasts scratch resistant Corning Gorilla glass with an ‘ultra-wide 178° viewing angle.’

And this is to be topped off by Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, which is upgradable 3.2, say Asus. Phew,

Storage wise, it has 16GB/32GB storage option, 1GB memory.

Slider also has a bundle of sensors (gyroscope, ecompass, GPS), Polaris 3.0 office applications (note: no Windows in sight), its very own cloud service Mycloud, MyLibrary, Kindle and PressReader.

And for multimedia fiends, Slider has excellent speaker sounds with supreme SRS bass sound.

Asus newest brainchild from the Eee family comes in brown or white, promise 8 hours battery life with 25Wh Li-Polymer Battery, looks like its bigger brother the Transformer but in a slimmer, lighter form (just north of 2lbs).

So, when it this slinky beauty coming to town? The Taiwanese giant previously flouted an October date, Asus product specialist, Beryl Lee told SmartHouse in May.
