Kogan Launches Smart Heater Range From $99

Kogan has expanded its home-brand consumer electronics range with new Wi-Fi connected heaters. The products form part of Kogan’s SmarterHome™ brand, which is set to further expand this year – e.g. adding smart light bulbs, plugs, portable air conditioners and more.

The new smart heaters offer Wi-Fi connection, and are controlled via Kogan’s SmarterHome app (iOS or Android).

The devices are aimed at “medium sized rooms”, and feature overheating protection with automatic shut-off.

Reflective of their lower price, Kogan’s smart heaters do not feature voice control support, and will not merge with the larger ecosystem of Alexa or Google Assistant connected devices.

Kogan.com affirms they’re committed to bringing the future of smart home electronics to Australia, in an affordable and simple-to-use manner.

The new SmarterHome™ range follows Kogan’s announcement last week, that it’s launching its own whitegoods range later this year.

As previously reported, shares in Kogan.com have seen a tumbling in recent weeks – falling over 10% after directors, Ruslan Kogan and David Schafer, rejected an offer to sell over $100 million in shares.

As previously reported, early this week both parties “reluctantly” sold 6,000,000 shares for around $42 million. The news caused Kogan.com shares to further decline.

Shares in Kogan.com are currently trading 3.72% higher to $7.53.
