Klipsch Upgrades Powered Speakers with Dirac Live and Dolby Atmos
Klipsch has unveiled the next generation of its popular powered speakers, The Sevens II and The Nines II, now featuring Dirac Live Room Correction technology – a first for two-channel active speakers.
The move promises high-fidelity sound optimised for any room, regardless of furniture placement or acoustics.
Dirac Live uses AI-powered impulse-response and mixed-phase correction to eliminate room-induced coloration and timing errors.
The result, Klipsch says, is a more stable “sweet spot,” clearer imaging, and tighter, more consistent bass. For subwoofer users, the optional Dirac Live Bass Control upgrade maps and redistributes low frequencies for uniform coverage.

“These speakers ensure reference-level performance in any room,” said Klipsch CEO Paul Jacobs. “Dirac Live brings clarity, dynamics, and impact without compromise.”
The Sevens II and Nines II also integrate Onkyo-designed electronics, giving each driver its own amplifier and DSP crossover for precise control. Both models support Dolby Atmos virtual height channels, with the Nines II adding DTS:X, delivering an immersive home-theatre experience without extra speakers.
As for connectivity, both models offer HDMI 2.1 inputs compatible with 4K/120Hz and 8K, plus HDMI eARC, USB-C, USB-A, optical, coaxial, phono, and balanced XLR (Nines II only). Streaming is built-in via Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect and Roon Ready, supporting high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz.

The physical design also sees a major upgrade. The monoblock BMC baffle reduces unwanted resonance, while a redesigned Tractrix horn improves dispersion and soundstage. Jet Cerametallic woofers grow to 6.5″ in the Sevens II and 8″ in the Nines II, with bass reaching as low as 31Hz.
The new speakers are compatible with Klipsch’s KS stands and come in Walnut, Ebony, or a new Red Oak finish with white baffle. They are set to hit Australian retailers in Spring 2026, priced at approximately AUD 3,200 for The Sevens II and AUD 3,800 for The Nines II.
With Dirac Live, Dolby Atmos and high-res streaming in a single package, Klipsch’s new generation promises to redefine what powered speakers can do in both music and home theatre setups.
