Jamie Murdoch, son of Rupert and 21st Century Fox CEO, is joining Elon Musk’s Tesla board as a director. Also joining the board is Linda Johnson Rice, CEO of Ebony Media, which publishes Ebony magazine
Besides chairman Musk, Tesla’s board includes his brother; a former top executive for SolarCity Corp; two venture-capital investors in Tesla; a private-equity investor; and a telecommunications executive.
James is the younger brother of Lachlan Murdoch who, with James Packer and billionaire Bruce Gordon, is seeking to take possession of the highly troubled Sydney Channel Ten TV empire.
