Is JB Hi Fi Set To Start Selling Harley Davidson Bikes?

Is JB Hi Fi set to start selling Harley Davidson bikes? If Only.

JB Hi Fi is making a name for itself flogging electric bikes, now a super cool new Harley Davidson electric bike range has been announced complete with a unique Harley Davidson hand-crafted sprung honey-coloured leather saddle and white tyres.

Famed for its roaring petrol-powered motorbikes, the famous US company is now releasing a bunch of electric bikes, with one unique model, called the Mosh Chopper, recently reaching a staggering $27,000 when it was flogged off at a London auction recently.

But if that is too much to pay the entry level models will be a tad under $10K in Australia when they arrive and that includes GST.

Called the MOSH/TRIBUTE it features a sleek, contemporary design with exclusive, white-toned Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres that look Harley Davidson very much.

Like the recently launched BMW bike all the cables are all hidden inside a hydroformed aluminium frame.

By removing the wires from the outside, Harley Davidson says it should help to cut down maintenance and stop the wires from snagging on the rider’s clothes.

As for distance you should get around 150 kilometres from a single charge.

The power pack which can be easily removed and refilled when you get to your destination.

All you do when you get to work is make sure it’s parked where no one will nick it, and secondly remove the battery pack for charging next to your desk for a top up.

Harley is promising its battery can go from flat to full in around 5 hours although it can part charge to 75 percent in just 2.6 hours.

Top speed is around 30klm an hour although that’s limited to 15.5mph in Europe to comply with the law around electric bikes.

Harley Davidson is only producing around 650 of them with a limited number being shipped to Australia.

The US firm said: “When Serial 1 launched in October 2020, the first eBike shown to the public was a stunning prototype drawn from the vintage motorcycle that inspired the creation of the Serial 1 eBike brand. Serial 1 is thrilled now to offer a limited-edition model, the MOSH/TRIBUTE, that so faithfully captures the iconic look and feel of that first prototype, and to use this moment as a springboard to launch our S1 Series that will see even more exclusive and highly-desirable Serial 1 eBike models in the future.”
