IFA 2025: Samsung Unveils New Robot Vacuums and Refrigerators with Enhanced Security at IFA 2025
Samsung has unveiled a new range of robot vacuum cleaners and smart appliances at IFA 2025 that feature advanced security upgrades. Australian consumers could see the new products if local retailers attending the event are impressed.
The new lineup includes the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam and the Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, both of which now come with strengthened security measures. Alongside these, Samsung’s Bespoke AI Refrigerators have also received a security upgrade, earning IoT security certification from TÜV Nord, a global certification body based in Germany. This marks the first time Samsung’s digital appliances have achieved TÜV Nord security certification.
It remains unclear whether Australian models will adopt Samsung’s Knox security platform or the TÜV Nord-certified system.
“As the global focus on smart home security intensifies, Samsung continues to deliver robust protection through our Knox security platform,” said Jeong Seung Moon, Executive Vice President and Head of R&D for Samsung’s Digital Appliances Business.
Samsung Australia has yet to confirm when the upgraded appliances will be available locally. The move comes as European markets tighten security standards for connected appliances.
The new Knox-based security enhancements protect user data with multiple layers of protection. Features include verification of unauthorized firmware modifications upon startup, as well as encryption of monitoring footage and user commands from the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam and Bespoke Jet Bot Combo.
For refrigerators, the 2025 Bespoke AI models incorporate Knox Matrix and Knox Vault. Knox Matrix enables mutual security checks between devices, alerting users promptly to potential data theft risks. Knox Vault safeguards sensitive personal information, offering protection similar to Samsung smartphones.
While the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam is being officially unveiled at IFA 2025, the Bespoke AI Refrigerators have already rolled out in select markets worldwide, including Australia.
