IFA 2025: Reolink Steps Up AI Security Cameras Offering
Reolink Unveils AI-Powered Security Innovations at IFA 2025
Chinese smart security brand Reolink is ramping up its global ambitions, using IFA 2025 in Berlin as a launchpad to showcase major new AI technologies and hardware while signaling a stronger push into markets such as Australia.
The company, already a leading seller on Amazon and a growing rival to Eufy and TP-Link, made its presence felt at the show with large-scale marketing, keynote presentations, and a series of new product announcements. In an exclusive interview with ChannelNews, executives confirmed plans to integrate Reolink systems with premium smart home platforms including Control4 and Savant.
From Skepticism to Strength
After facing early criticism in Australia over product quality, Reolink has built credibility with a steady rollout of high-quality cameras. At IFA, the spotlight shifted firmly to ReoNeura, its next-generation AI platform designed to cut false alarms, streamline footage review, and deliver smarter, context-aware alerts.
Unlike rivals such as Arlo and Ring, whose AI features are cloud-only, ReoNeura works both locally and via subscription, offering flexibility for different users. It can identify vehicles, people, animals, or even specific colors and clothing, and supports natural language queries—so searching for a “white SUV” or “delivery driver” takes seconds rather than hours.
On Reolink NVRs, the AI goes further, suggesting filter options like clothing color or vehicle type, and providing detailed cross-camera analysis.
New AI Features for 2025
At IFA, Reolink announced upgrades to ReoNeura including:
Smart Detection – Improved recognition of people, pets, vehicles, parcels, and bikes, plus custom detection zones and schedules to minimize irrelevant alerts.
Event Intelligence – The ability to distinguish between a parcel being delivered and one being collected.
Video Captioning – Natural-language summaries of recorded clips.
Business Insights – Heat mapping, people counting, and customer flow analysis tools for retailers, grouped under a new Professional Series.
These features, the company says, mark a step-change in how AI can assist both homeowners and businesses.
TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi Camera
Alongside the AI platform, Reolink also debuted the TrackFlex Floodlight WiFi Camera, a hardwired, weatherproof 4K unit boasting full 360° coverage and 270° PIR motion detection. Its dual-lens system tracks movement automatically, ensuring no blind spots, and supports up to 6x hybrid zoom.
At night, the TrackFlex’s 3000-lumen floodlights—with adjustable warm (3000K) and cool (6000K) tones—illuminate outdoor spaces while deterring intruders. Customizable voice alerts and smart lighting modes add further flexibility.
Reolink describes it as the world’s first 4K 360° PTZ floodlight camera with local AI video search, giving homeowners fast access to relevant clips without relying solely on the cloud.
Market Outlook
Reolink’s aggressive showcase at IFA underscores its determination to expand beyond Amazon sales into retail channels across the US, Europe, and Australia. While pricing for Australia has yet to be confirmed, the company says it will continue to roll out AI upgrades across both existing and future devices.
With ReoNeura and TrackFlex, Reolink is betting that smarter AI and broader integration will set it apart in the increasingly competitive home security market.
