Mike Boyle will become HP’s new South Pacific managing director, replacing interim South Pacific managing director Paul Gracey, in November.
Gracey was tapped as interim regional leader after Rob Mesaros vacated the role in May. Paul will return to leading HP’s South Pacific printing systems business when Mike Boyle picks up his new role.
Mr Boyle will be moving from his current role as HP’s graphics solutions boss for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
A spokesperson for HP celebrated the appointment, saying “Mike is an effective leader with broad leadership experience, having spent over 20 years in the industry working in a variety of roles, and living and working across multiple regions including Europe, Asia and South Pacific”.
The South Pacific region for the sake of the role contains Australia, New Zealand and the surrounding islands.
Mr Boyle will be responsible for the company’s portfolio of PCs, mobility, technical workstations, printing, graphics solutions, 3D and managed services.
Mike left his role as senior general manager at Canon Australia in 2015 to join HP. He has also previously worked as international marketing director at Oce.
The role was vacated when Mesaros was appointed head of 3D printing for Asia-Pacific and Japan.
