HP is delving into the world of manucrafturing with the announcement of its latest convertible laptop, the leather Spectre Folio.
Unlike the plastic or aluminium laptops on the market, HP’s Spectre Folio is encased with durable chrome-tanned 100% genuine leather available in ‘Cognac Brown’ and ‘Bordeaux Burgundy’ colours, with an ash-coloured interior.
It is a convertible laptop, tablet, and protective case all rolled into one, aiming for on the-go users to move fluidly between positions.
The Spectre Folio can be used as a traditional laptop, the display can be pulled forward to slot it into a media mode, or it can be laid flat to be used as a tablet.
It has a 13.3-inch pen-enabled touch screen with a full aluminium keyboard with 1.5mm key travel and a glass trackpad.
With an 8th Generation
Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. Selected models will also enjoy ultrafast Gigabit-class 4G LTE connectivity.
HP is using Intel’s latest 1W panel to maximise battery life. The battery should get up to 21 hours of life on a charge, according to HP’s website, an impressive claim if proven to be true.
Featuring audio by Bang and Olufsen with HP quad speakers, HP Audio Boost and expert tuning.
Your content will be brought to life with 8.2 million pixels with 178 degrees wide-viewing angles and thin bezel for enhanced display area. There will also be a 4K display option in the future.
The Spectre Folio will be available for preorder today, and will roll out on 2 November with a starting price of $2799. Keep up to date on HP’s website.
