It seems even though the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are due for launch in the next couple of days, the leaks aren’t slowing down, with the latest showing that Google’s new handsets will boast additional camera functionality, with one feature borrowed from Apple.

Two advertisements for the new Pixel smartphones we’re leaked on Twitter by SnoopyTech, showing off several new features being added to the new handsets.

With the Pixel 7 Pro, it seems that high-quality and detailed photography is Google’s main focus. The handset will feature a new ‘Macro Focus’ mode that improves the quality of macro photography and captures tiny details.

According to the latest leaked specs, the Macro Focus feature will use a 48MP 5X optical zoom lens, exclusive to the Pro model. Both the standard and Pro Pixel 7 will feature 50MP and 12MP cameras on the rear.

‘Super Res Zoom’ also comes with the Pixel 7 Pro, which seems to be an improved version of the zoom of the Pixel 6 Pro. According to NotebookCheck, the new feature can deliver a 30X max zoom level, a significant improvement of the 20X of the Pixel 6 Pro.

The Pixel 7 is also getting a boost in camera functionality, with a new feature that Apple launched last year with the iPhone 13.

The new handset will feature ‘Cinematic Blur’, which will allow users to record footage placing a heavy focus on foreground objects and transition focus for a cinematic affect.

Specs for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have also been leaked, so we have a comprehensive idea of what they will offer. They two handsets are due to launch at ‘Made By Google’ on Thursday October 6 at 10am ET (Friday October 7th at 1am AEST).
