Google has announced that Google I/O 2023, will take place on May 10.
CEO Sundar Pichai announced the news on Twitter, linking to a website that reveals the event “will be broadcast in front of a limited live audience” and “open to everyone online”.
Android 14 is the only certainty so far, and given Google’s recent scramble to keep up with Microsoft in the AI game, you can bet there will be a focus on this technology – and perhaps the introduction of its controversial ‘Bard’ chatbot into the OS.
Other possibility are the launch of the Pixel 7a mid-range smartphone, and the long-awaited Pixel Fold reveal.
Of course, just because it is announced doesn’t mean we’ll see it – last year the company announced the Pixel Tablet, which has been MIA since.
Registration for the event is open and free of cost.
