Presto: Video On-Demand Launches Today

Presto: Video On-Demand Launches Today New video on-demand service called Presto, offers online Foxtel Movies for $19.99 a month.

The service offers a monthly pass to stream Foxtel Movies live and on-demand, ad free. 
It has a regularly updated collection, offering films from eight Foxtel Movies channels including: Movies Premiere, Comedy, Romance, Thriller, Action, as well as on demand titles.

Subscribers and non subscribers will also have to pay extra for Presto pay-per view movies which includes newer releases like Diana and Enemies Closer.

Presto today confirmed that new movie channel Movies Disney will also be a part of the line up from 10 April.
Presto’s movie line up includes 2013 blockbuster releases: A Good Day to Die Hard, Iron Man 3, Identity Thief and Oz the Great and Powerful. 
In March, additional hits will include Star Trek: Into Darkness, The Lone Ranger, This is the End and The Great Gatsby, while Fast & Furious 6, Monsters University, World War Z and Elysium will be hitting screens in April and May.
Shaun James, currently Foxtel’s General Manager of Music Channels and Head of Digital has been appointed as Director of Presto & VOD. 
Prior to joining Foxtel in 2012, Shaun spent four years at XYZ Networks as General Manager Music. 
Foxtel CEO Richard Freudenstein said, Presto is a game changer and the announcement of the new VOD service has created a “big stir”. 
“Last month’s announcement that it was on the way created a big stir and we’re looking forward to sharing Presto’s library with Australian movie lovers. Presto is a game changing new way to experience great movies, when and where you want, for a price per week equivalent to what you’ll pay for just one standard iTunes movie rental.”

Presto is available as a special offer to new customers for $4.99 for the first month.
The new movie service features an interface with recommendations and critics’ reviews from Rotten Tomatoes.
