Foxtel GO Mobile App Replaces Foxtel Now

Foxtel has today announced they will replace Foxtel Now with the simplified Foxtel GO Mobile app for immediate on-demand streaming.

Focusing on one app, Foxtel hopes to add further value for Foxtel Now customers by providing access to popular features and support already available from Foxtel GO.

In a media release issued on Monday, Foxtel Chief Product and Strategy Officer Alice Mascia said, “we have been investing in the Foxtel GO app to provide all our customers with the best of TV and on-demand on their mobile device.”

From 17 September, Foxtel Now Customers will be directed to download the Foxtel GO app via their devices app store, with web users directed to watch.foxtel.com.au.

The new application now is also compatible with Android 10 and iOS 13, which Foxtel Now previously did not support.

Foxtel GO will feature a dedicated kids’ homepage with parental control options, replacing the previous Foxtel Kids app.

The Foxtel Now Box, however, will be unaffected in this change, with gaming consoles, smart TVs and Telstra TV also omitted from the update.

Existing customers will be able to register Foxtel GO on multiple devices for content viewing across two screens at the same time.

New Foxtel customers will be able to access Foxtel GO even before their main service installation is complete.
