EXCLUSIVE: The Good Guys To Sell New Premium Loewe TV’s & Audio Range

As Panasonic exit the premium TV market leading retailer The Good Guys have replaced the brand with European TV maker Loewe who is also launching a new audio range.

This is the first time that Loewe TV’s have been ranged in a mass retailer in Australia, in the past they have been one of the sought-after brands sold by specialist dealers.

Distributed by the Indi Group of Companies, the Good Guys a JB Hi Fi owned Company, will sell a new range of Loewe TV’s including OLED models as well as a new range of Loewe audio products that include soundbars and standalone speakers.

Channel News understands that Loewe, a German Company who has been in the TV business for more than 100 years will also launch an expanded audio range, it was due to be introduced at IFA 2020, now it’s not known when the new audio and a tipped European appliance range will revealed.

Last year Loewe was acquired by International investment firm Skytec an experienced consumer electronics and appliance group. The Company has their own manufacturing plant in Europe.

The CEO of Skytec Vladislav Khabliev claims that Loewe’s relationship with suppliers and technology partners, such as LG Display who provides the OLED panel for Loewe’s top-end bild TVs, is currently being expanded and that the Company will shortly have a new value range of Loewe TV’s that have been selling “extremly well during the recent COVID-19 epidemic.

According to Paul Riachi the CEO of The Indi Group of Companies, the Australian importer, stock of Loewe TV’s has been readily available this year as demand was building up for the Loewe TV range in the specialist channel before COVID-19.

This resulted in the Company having stock when demand for premium TV’s surged earlier this year.

Khabliev who ran the Sharp operation in Europe said “We want to get started quickly with the development of new products 2020 at our traditional location in Kronach while we build a new headquarters. Our goal is to reposition Loewe as an international premium brand that is affordable. From our European operation we can guarantee continuity with the delivery of proven high product quality to the trade and also to our end customers and fans of the brand”.

“This is a strong signal to our retail partners who can continue to rely on Loewe in the future when it comes to stylish entertainment and iconic ‘Engineered in Germany’ design.” He said.

Paul Riachi said “Loewe is one of the world’s leading TV brands, now it is affordable and available to the mass market via The Good Guys. This is an exciting move for us as we have a great new range coming along with new audio products”.

He added “The Good Guys is a perfect retailer for the brand as they are growing and have an excellent target audience of families and couples who want quality European designed products and a brand they can trust. Loewe is a German designed and European manufactured product and you only have to look at the product and the way that it is built, and the smarts configured to realise this is a true premium brand”.
