Epson ANZ MD Retires, GM Promoted
Epson ANZ Managing Director, Bruno Turcato, will retire next month after 16 years at the helm, succeeded by sales and marketing General Manager, Craig Heckenberg.
Mr Turcato is recognised for being the first non-Japanese MD of any Epson subsidiary in 2003.
Turcato begun his 30 year career at Epson as financial controller, before being promoted to General Manager.
He is praised for transitioning Epson Australia from manufacturing dot matrix printers and PCs, to inkjet printers and projectors – the company claims to now sell over 70% of all projectors in Australia.
Mr Heckenberg has been with Epson for over 19 years, and is recognised for lifting commercial print revenue by over 450%, and printer sales over 170%.
Successful new business divisions launched during his tenure include Document Solutions, Industrial Label, plus Sign and Textile.
“I am particularly looking forward to creating a new era for Epson in the A/NZ region,” claims Heckenberg.
“My goal is to make Epson an indispensable company for our customers and society by continuing to raise our standards of excellence in all areas of the business.”
“His [Bruno’s] leadership and presence will be sorely missed by the entire Epson family and we wish him all the very best in retirement.”
