Ecovacs Debuts New Robovac With Voice Control

Ecovacs Robotics has further expanded its Australian presence, with the release of the affordable Deebot 900 (A$799) featuring Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support.

The Deebot 900 claims to incorporate many of the smart cleaning features in Ecovacs’ premium Deebot 930, including virtual mapping and customised boundary planning.

Using voice commands via Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant, users can trigger a clean plus more.

The robovac is compatible with Amazon’s Echo smart speakers or the Google Home, and provides real-time voice reporting on status and problems.

Like other devices, the Deebot 900 supports Ecovacs’ smartphone app, which schedules cleans, offers remote start and a plethora more.

The Deebot 900 features a low vacuum inlet for enhanced suction power, and a V-shaped brush for deep-reach cleans.

A new ‘Max’ cleaning mode allows users to utilise 70% more power for stubborn dirt removal. The robovac claims to offer 100 minute life from a single charge.

Ecovacs Robotics’ Deebot 900 is now available to purchase from Harvey Norman and Bing Lee for A$799.¬† A full review will be published shortly.
