Desperate Big Brand Audio & TV Partner Looking For Saviour

Audio brands including Bang & Olufsen, Dynaudio, LG, Hisense, Denon, Harman Kardon, Mark Levinson, Samsung and Onkyo have all invested in WiSA’s spatial wireless technology in an effort to improve the sound experience of their audio and TV products now the struggling Company has been put up for sale as they struggle to survive, shares have slumped from US$104 to just $0.17 cents.

The developer of spatial, wireless sound technology for next-generation home entertainment systems and a multitude of smart devices have called in consultants to “explore of strategic alternatives” for the company.

Last week WiSA Technologies requested a delay in filing its quarterly results as they look for strategic alternatives. Management claimed the move was not as a “Result of any disagreements with its auditor concerning their financials”.

The Company claims that WiSA technology provides for better interoperability, allowing users to be able to couple multiple brands of products together as long as they are all WiSA certified.

One Company that uses WiSA technology Lithe Audio which is distributed by Melbourne based Audio Active.

Users are partners who are members of the WiSA Association – a separate organisation set up to license and promote those technologies created by WiSA Technologies.

Since March 2022, the WiSA stock has fallen 68%. Pre COVID the stock was trading at US$104 today they are trading at $0.17.

WiSA said recently that they believe that they have “a wide range of options for the Company.” It’s intellectual property and licensable software used in WiSA E and WiSA DS technologies are valuable, they say.

Recently the board hired AQ Technology Partners to assist in the process of exploring new options for the company including, “Capital raising transactions, an acquisition, sale of assets, including substantially all of the Company’s assets, merger, business combination, partnership, joint venture, licensing and/or another strategic alternative.
