Dali Announce Entry Level Speaker Range

Danish audio brand Dali has announced a new entry level series of loudspeakers with six new models.

The Dali Oberon series features centre, shelf, wall and floorstanding speakers.

The Oberon speakers are the first entry level range from Dali to use the company’s soft magnetic compound woofer technology designed to reduce sound coloration and distortion.

All speakers in the Oberon line use Dali’s new oversized 29mm dome tweeters, extending frequency response to 26kHz.

The bass and mid drivers use a new wood-fibre cone that “reproduces the micro details in the signal completely unfiltered and with high accuracy”, according to Dali’s Lars Worre.

Dali’s Oberon line is made up of two shelf speakers, two floorstanding speakers, a centre channel speaker and wall speakers.

The Oberon 1 shelf speakers retail for A$799 while a similar (at least on paper) wall speaker starts at A$499.

Dali offer another shelf speaker known as the 3 for A$1099 and two floorstanding speakers, the 5 and the 7, priced at A$1599 and A$1999 a pair.

The VOKAL centre speaker retails for A$699.

Dali’s new Oberon speakers are expected to go on sale at the end of July, distributed in Australia by Amber Technology.
