Call For Security Check On TikTok’s Musical.ly Deal

US Senator Marco Rubio has asked a national security watchdog to review the acquisition of Musical.ly by TikTok, owned by Chinese company ByteDance Technology.

Rubio accused TikTok of being used by the Chinese Government to censor politically sensitive content.

He said there was growing evidence that TikTok in the US was censoring content that is not in line with the Chinese government.
