BREAKING NEWS:Another Senior Executive Quits Acer

Acer Australia has lost another senior executives with the exit of Sales Director Rod Bassi, at this stage it’s not known where he is going.

Earlier this year the CEO of Acer Australia Darren Simmons left the Taiwanese computer manufacturer who has been witnessing record sales in the gaming market where they are #1 with their Predator gaming range.

Under Bassi, the business  also witnessed major gains in the Education market especially at a State level.

The Company also won major contracts with Federal Government departments including Defence.

When ChannelNews approach Acer the Company issued a prepared statement via their PR Company.

‘Acer Australia can confirm Rod Bassi has resigned from his position at Acer as Oceanic Sales Director.

An Acer spokesperson says, “Rod has worked with Acer for 25 years and his experience, passion and commitment has been a huge asset for our business. Rod made the decision to leave Acer for personal reasons. After such a long-standing tenure with Acer, we respect Rod’s decision to resign, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

In light of Rod Bassi’s resignation at Oceanic Sales Director, Acer will be reviewing its sales structure locally to look at areas where we can improve efficiencies and streamline operations to ensure we remain dynamic in the current market’.

The Oceanic region’s performance remains strong, and our local team continues to deliver innovation solutions and technologies to our partners and customers.”
