Boost Mobile Becomes Official Telco Partner For A-League Sport

Boost Mobile, a youth-based telco in Australia, has become the official telco partner and Major Partner of the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s and Liberty A-League Women’s Finals Series.

The Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s and Liberty A-League Women’s Finals Series are football championships. The Men’s team is followed by 640,000 supporters, according to a survey conducted in 2021.

The partnership will include presenting the Boost Young Footballer of the Year award at the A-League Dolan Warren Awards.

Boost Mobile will also be a Major Partner of the upcoming A-League All Stars event, set to take place in Melbourne on May 24.

This partnership is the first time Boost Mobile has taken a significant position in Australian football.

Founder of Boost Mobile, Peter Adderton said, “Boost Mobile is all about fighting for the best possible deals for our customers. Today’s announcement expands the reach of the Boost brand at the same time as we are expanding our products and services from mobile to broadband and home internet, which is coming soon. We can’t wait to introduce our brand to the Australian football community.”

APL Commissioner, Nick Garcia said, “We’re excited to be welcoming Boost Mobile to the A-Leagues partner family. Boost has shown across its existing partnerships that its level of support for the partner sport and athletes is unmatched. We’re excited to see how they bring to life our partnership across the A-Leagues Finals Series and A-League All Stars, no doubt creating value for our fans in the process.”

Boost Mobile isn’t the first telco to have partnered with sporting events and platforms.

In addition, Australian telco Mate partnered with sports sponsorship platform MyFavorito, which rolled out across Australia in 2021, and is a platform that allows sports fans to watch content.

And back in 2015, Telstra announced partnerships with four A-League clubs, the Western Sydney Wanderers, Melbourne City, Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC.
