BlackBerry Key2 Hitting Aussie Shores In August

The BlackBerry Key2 will reportedly be available to buy in mid-August, with the TCL Communications-owned device featuring a 12MP dual-rear camera.

The specific date and pricing of the new smartphone is still under wraps.

BlackBerry is marketing the device as an ‘icon reborn’, a nod to its naughties-era keypad mobile.

The device offers several ‘first’ features for a BlackBerry phone, including the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Senior VP, TCL Communication & President BlackBerry Mobile, Alain Lejeune, claims the KEY2 supports BlackBerry’s pledge to manufacturer the “world’s most secure Android smartphones”.

Lejeune affirms the KEY2 retains BlackBerrry’s “iconic” hallmarks, and introduces many new innovations to make its “one of the best devices for security and privacy”, and the “most advanced BlackBerry” ever.
