Asus Targets Multi-Screen Gaming Setups With New Mini Touchscreen Display
Asus Republic of Gamers has unveiled a new 12.3-inch secondary touchscreen monitor, the ROG Strix XG129C, aimed at gamers and streamers who want a dedicated command centre beneath their main display.
The compact screen uses a 24:9 IPS panel with a 1920 x 720 resolution and 75Hz refresh rate.
Asus says the form factor is designed to sit neatly under a primary monitor, giving users space for system monitoring, chat windows, streaming controls, shortcuts and app management without cluttering their main screen.

The XG129C features 10-point touch support, allowing multi-finger gestures, hotkey control and quick navigation through on-screen tools. It also covers 125% of the sRGB colour gamut and 90% of DCI-P3, giving it stronger colour credentials than many small companion displays.
Asus is bundling a one-year AIDA64 Extreme subscription, along with exclusive ROG SensorPanel layouts, turning the screen into a live hardware dashboard for CPU temperatures, GPU loads, fan speeds and other PC performance data.
Connectivity is handled through USB-C, with one hybrid-signal port supporting power, video and touch over a single cable. A second USB-C port supports 20W Power Delivery, while HDMI 1.2 is included for broader compatibility. The panel is 6.3mm thick and includes an adjustable kickstand and tripod socket.

The device arrives as a more display-focused alternative to products such as Elgato’s Stream Deck, which relies on physical programmable buttons, and Corsair’s larger Xeneon Edge secondary display.
Asus has also announced the ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS, a 34-inch curved RGB Tandem QD-OLED gaming monitor with 3440 x 1440 resolution, a 280Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time.
In Australia, the ROG Strix XG129C will retail for $299, while the XG34WCDMS will sell for $1,499.
