OLED Warranty War As MSI & ASUS Go Head To Head

ASUS has announced a new 2-year standard warranty, which will cover potential burn in on its OLED monitors, while arch rival MSI is offering 3 years. This comes after Dell Alienware announced its 3-year burn in warranty.

ASUS introduced its 2-year warranty without any fanfare via their OLED monitor product pages, which now read, “Warranty: 2 years (including panel burn-in).”

MSI responded by announcing its QD-OLED monitors will now come with a 3-year warranty covering burn in.

“In a commitment to our valued gaming community, MSI guarantees a 3-year warranty on OLED panels. Our 3-year warranty extends beyond typical coverage—it includes protection against the burn-in issue.”

Last year, it was confirmed by LG that burn in under normal use is covered in the 2 year warranty for OLED monitors in the US, however, there is currently no information regarding other regions.
