ASUS has unveiled the GeForce RTX 5080 Noctua Edition. It’s a high-end NVIDIA RTX 50-series card aimed at gamers and creators who want flagship performance without all the droning fan noise.

A continuation of ASUS’s partnership with Austrian cooling specialist Noctua, the card features three of Noctua’s NF-A12x25 G2 120mm fans. This hardware is highly regarded in PC-building circles for providing strong airflow at minimal noise levels.

The cooling system also includes an optimised vapour chamber, phase-change thermal pad, and a large fin stack. ASUS’s 0dB technology stops the fans entirely when temperatures are low, and a dual BIOS switch lets users toggle between Quiet and Performance modes.

At its core, the card runs the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU at a 2700 MHz default clock.

It’s backed by 16GB of GDDR7 memory and a hefty 1,858 AI TOPS. Add in DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction and you get ray-tracing at incredible framerates in challenging games.

Its looks are as impressive as its performance

The brown-and-beige exterior mirrors Noctua’s signature look, appealing to builders chasing a retro-looking rig. But ASUS promises the subdued tones work equally well in modern builds.

Noctua CEO Roland Mossig says, “While we’ve constantly set new benchmarks for performance-to-noise efficiency with each of the previous ASUS x Noctua graphics cards, the GeForce RTX 5080 offers the biggest generational leap yet.”

Purchasers will also get a month of Adobe Creative Cloud, the ASUS MuseTree AI image-generation app, and access to GPU Tweak III software for one-click overclocking and monitoring.

ASUS is positioning the Noctua Edition as the quietest ASUS graphics card in its class. It’s targeting users who want top-tier performance without the audible whirring common to high-wattage GPUs.
