Apple Watch Ultra 2 To Gain 3D Printed Parts

An analyst has confirmed rumours surrounding Apple’s release of a sequel to the Apple Watch Ultra, and noted the release will happen later this year.

With this, the launch is expected to take place along with the new iPhones in September, or in October during another event. An interesting fact that has been confirmed though, is that it will feature 3D printed parts.

Apple have been reported to be adopting 3D printed technology, using the process for “some of the titanium mechanical parts.”

The parts will have to go through CNC processes, but it has been claimed to cut production times and costs.

The 3D printer suppliers for Apple have been confirmed to be Farsoon and BLT, with IPG Photonics being the exclusive supplier for laser components.
