Apple TV+ Struggling To Gain A Foothold

Over 18 months since launching into a crowded marketplace, streaming service Apple TV+ is struggling to gain any traction against rivals Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

According to JustWatch, who provide guidance and analysis in the television market, Apple TV+ had only 3 per cent of the US market in the June quarter.

Netflix commanded 31 per cent of US marketshare, with Amazon Prime Video holding an impressive 22 per cent.

Hulu follows with 14 per cent, Disney+ with 13 per cent, before HBO Max with 9 per cent, and NBCUniversal’s Peacock beating out Apple on 4 per cent.

Peacock, Disney + and HBO Max all entered the market after Apple TV+.
