Apple To Spend $1.5 Billion A Year To Crack Hollywood
Apple has major ambitions in the cinematic space, with plans to spend A$1.5 billion a year on movies to be released in theatres.
According to Bloomberg, who cite the usual ” people who asked not to be identified”, potential 2023 releases from Apple include DiCaprio/Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon — which will be distributed by Paramount — the spy thriller Argylle, and Ridley Scott’s Napoleon.

Apple is pledging to put its movies in thousands of US theatres for at least a month –Â presumably allowing them to double dip by then premiering these films on its streaming service.
A$1.5 billion is a substantial investment.
Apple won the 2021 Best Picture Oscar for CODA, yet the film took in less than $2 million at the box office.
